Grupo Textil Altex is a family owned business run by its 3rd and 4th generation. GTA is always employing new methods and technologies to be on the edge of yarn manufacturing in the textile industry.

GTA was founded in 1963 in its current location. It’s headquarters are in Mexico City’s industrial area Azcapotzalco. We have ample knowledge and experience in the textile industry and specialize in fantasy and specialty yarns with our ring-spun machines and our short-length fiber (38mm – 50mm). Our raw material includes: Acrylic (fire-retardant), Polyester (fire-retardant), Viscose, Flax, Modal (Viscose and Flax) amongst others. These fibers can be blended and produce fine and unique yarns. Our fantasy yarns include slubs, boucle, melange, chenille, and nubs (neps). Our variety of yarn can be used by weavers and knitters alike.

We are expanding the business to comercialization of yarns, aside from manufacturing. This project is dedicated to small and medium businesses.

Our clients are conformed of very important domestic and international weavers and knitters. Our exports mostly consist in high quality markets in the USA and Central America.
